Welcome to Simon Says Stories. I love to write and you’ll easily see it from the wide range of topics, issues, news and events that occupy my life.

I have been a writer since I was a junior at DeSmet Jesuit High School in Creve Coeur, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. I wrote for the school newspaper but professionally (translated, for $$$) for Community Newspapers of St. Louis.

How many years? A seasoned man won’t say but accept that I started my career in the Watergate era.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. You might think it is odd that a broadcaster likes to write using Associated Press newspaper style, but I believe in being well-rounded. In the journalism business, they call it being convergent. It simply needs communication today is the best of two world, old fashioned presentation applied to the digital information process.

Some of the bigger places I’ve worked in my career include KMOX St. Louis, KMBZ Kansas City, KDNL ABC 30 St. Louis, the Suburban Journals of Greater St. Louis, News/Talk 100 WNOX Knoxville, and Illinois MetroNetworks.

I hope you enjoy what you see, and if you have suggestions, either for the site or story ideas, I hope you will write me. If you can help the site financially, please donate with my thanks.

Enjoy, and I now return you to regularly scheduled programming.
